I am (again) really grateful I was treated by Laurie this morning. I had not been able to have my period for about 4 months. After Laurie treated me with acupuncture I got my period within 45 minutes! I have peace of mind but also feel so much healthier. Toward the end of 2015, I was in and out of hospitals for a two month period having lots of symptoms and tests to find out what was going on with my body.  After this period it took a big toll on my mental and physical body. I was referred to Dr. Laurie Counihan-Childs by my daughters’ pediatrician, when she was unable to resolve her persistent cough issue after using both western and alternative medicines.   Her pediatrician described Dr. Laurie as a “problem-solver who can often heal health puzzles”.  That was approximately 5 years ago, and since then Dr. Laurie has helped all members of my family (including my cat!) with a variety of health issues including:  hormonal/menopausal imbalances, warts, many colds/cough and flu illnesses, stress-related skin conditions and long-term health maintenance.   A specific example of how she helped my daughter (who was nine at the time) is as follows:   I had taken my daughter to a dermatologist for what I thought was a splinter.  Her dermatologist diagnosed it as a large wart surrounded by many smaller warts.  I was told that the treatment would be freezing or burning to remove the larger wart, and then addressing the smaller warts with a variety of drugs and creams – the estimated treatment program would likely take at least three months and possibly up to six.   Disappointed with this long-term and invasive treatment, I sought the assistance of Dr. Laurie instead.  She was able to recommend a holistic treatment that included boosting my daughter’s immune system as well as prescribing other healing medicines.  My daughter’s warts – all of them – were completely gone in 10 days.  The largest wart was gone in just one week!   Dr. Laurie is a gifted healer who is also a pleasure to see – she has a welcoming office and treatment room, which makes each visit both healing and relaxing.  She focuses on total healing of body, mind and spirit and never brings judgment or criticism into her practice, which puts the patient at total ease and I believe greatly assists in cures on many levels.  I highly recommend Dr. Laurie Counihan-Childs - my family is blessed to have the opportunity to work with her.  We all think of her as a close friend and all-around lovely individual!
