During the initial visit I take a very thorough case history to determine a treatment protocol that is most suitable for you at the time. Being a "detective" allows me to get a sense of who you are and what moves you.  I gather pieces of the puzzle of your life - where you've been, where you are and where you want to go, and help you figure out how to proceed in your life.   There is a timing with healing and using the appropriate tools is essential to co-ordinating your healing process with grace and ease.  As they say, "If the only tool you have is a hammer, everything looks like a nail". During this time we will do an acupuncture or other TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine) body treatment if it's appropriate.

I look through dozens of tools or therapies  - some of which I can help you with, some of which you yourself can do and some that another practitioner or doctor would be called in to help with.  To me, every tool starts out potentially with equal value whether it's acupuncture, surgery, dietary changes, exercise, homeopathy, medications, chiropractic, counseling, etc. "The simpler the better" and "First do no harm" are my basic tenets. 

I am very effective at helping you get clarity about yourself and what's really going on in your body and your life, and figuring out what "to do" or how "to be" with the experience.   Sometimes it's as simple as relieving pain and suffering and other times it's a much more complicated process of awareness and understanding before taking action.  Ultimately, I would like to help you move from "surviving" to "thriving", find "grounding" and "alignment" and be infused with the breath of life.

A followup visit takes 1 hour. During this visit we will re-evaluate how you're feeling, what's changed and make any adjustments to the treatment protocol,  as well as do another acupuncture or other TCM body treatment if called for.

I accept cash, checks and most credit cards.  I do not bill insurance directly, but have a super-bill that I can give you to submit to your insurance, and they will reimburse you directly.
